Watch out everyone.  I may renew my periodic obsession with MMORPG’s for a bit with this one.  This could be trouble.

Legend of the Green DragonLegend of the Red Green Dragon. LOTGD is "a browser based role playing game, based on Seth Able’s Legend of the Red Dragon."

Create a character, flirt with Violet the bar wench, flirt with Seth the Bard! Survive through the worst in the forest outside of town! Host your own game!

    Oh man…

Yeah, I’m creating a character now. Curses!

BTW, another great site for online gaming (though this one is java-based) is Dragon Court at Fred’s Fiends. Dragon Court I is free, and DCII has a great 15 day trial. Not sure if I want to shell out money for the thing just yet, but the original version was a lot of fun when I first played it a few years ago, so I’m considering it.

Simple and fun Okay, this is a pretty cool little game. It’ll take a few days before I can evaluate it because at early levels you wander around through the forest, kill bad things and take their stuff. That’s what all these games are like early on, though, so we’ll see what happens once I get past the stage of the painful newbie. :)

More interestingly (to me More interestingly (to me anyway) the source is available.  So if you wanted to make our own custom version of it (hmmmm….  What themes could we create) the script can be running later this wek :)

I did notice that you can

I did notice that you can host your own game. Now, just for the record, I will expect that charter members of the 4 versions of Green Scissors will receive an extra bump in quests and such. ;)

Actually, that could be kinda fun (famous last words!), not to mention a good way to bring a few new folks over to the site. If you’re actually interested, I’m sure we could work together to come up with theme and other scenarios. Maybe we could rip off Snow Crash. :)

See, I was thinking that we See, I was thinking that we could pattern one afte an AE game.  Perhaps This Game Sucks.  Don’t know how much coding would be needed yet, but I think most of it would be in the database adding different creatures and such.

I was going to suggest I was going to suggest perhaps a ‘minigame’ patterned after This Game Sucks. Use some of the cards as weapons, perhaps, and attack the other gamers and ultimately the evil GM? Could be fun. :)

    Mmmmm…. Maybe something

Mmmmm….  Maybe something modeled after a Gen-Con from hell theme?  Instead of the "Village" you have the "Convention Center" Instead of the "Forest" you do battle in "Game Sessions".  Not sure what the ultimate goal would be but I have heard enough Con stories to think there is alot of potential material in there.

Well, we’ve talked about a Well, we’ve talked about a Convention expansion for TGS. If you can figure out how the coding works, we can surely come up with the content. :)
