I am getting all of my favorite php scripts put back into place after I decided to burn down the whole site last week. The news section (you*re reading it), photo gallery (coppermine), family tree (tng) and rss reader (2rss) are all in place. Now I just have to start integrating and getting the styles set up.

Its good to do computer work that actually seems to produce the desired result. Unlike my job at the moment where computer work seems to only produce more computer work.

This weekend was a lot of fun. Camen and I went down in the basement and built a computer from parts. For want of an extra IDE cable we weren*t able to finish but the process went a lot better than I had hoped it would. Tonight I will get the last cable and fire the box up. But I promised not to install Windows until Camen comes back next week.

I am going to post the pictures we took tonight or tomorrow in the newly minted gallery.

Sorry to make you read all that weather crap as the first post.

Five days. Its been five solid days of overcast. I am really not equipped to deal with this. It is depressing. It makes me lazy. It makes my daughter want to cry for no reason.

Usually I start to get a little wierd around the end of the third day of overcast skies. So having to deal with a fourth, and now fifth day of this stuff is really a grind.

But as always, I try to control the things I can control. To that end I have my bright yellow sweater on today and when I fell the gnawing effects of sunlight deficiency I shall stare at my navel.
